Trinity All Stars Cheer Makeup Tutorial

In this tutorial, I’m showing you how to create the Trinity All Stars Makeup Look. This colorful competition look combines teal and purple eyeshadow, and a long-wear matte lip for a look that stands out on the mat.

Follow along with these step-by-step instructions to recreate the complete Trinity All Stars cheer makeup look.

Prep Your Eyes

Start by applying a thin layer of eyeshadow primer across the eyelid. Primer helps lock in your eyeshadow and gives the colors a good base for competition day.

Next, dust a little loose setting powder underneath your eyes. This step is optional, but it helps catch eyeshadow fallout so cleanup is much easier when you're finished.

Start with the Teal Eyeshadow

Begin with the matte teal eyeshadow. Use your fingertip to pat the color across the inner and middle sections of the eyelid. Then use a fluffy eyeshadow brush to gently soften and blend the color.

Next, pick up the teal shimmer eyeshadow with your fingertip and layer it directly over the matte teal on the inner and middle lid. This adds shimmer while keeping that bright teal color underneath.

Use your fluffy brush again to lightly soften and blend the edges. You can also use a foam eyeshadow applicator instead of your fingertip to apply the color across the lid.

Add Purple to the Outer Corner

Now we're adding the dark purple shimmer eyeshadow. Use a dome-shaped brush to press the purple into the outer corner of the eye and slightly into the crease.

Switch to a fluffy brush and gently blend the purple through the crease to soften the color.

If you want more depth and stronger color, repeat this step and build another layer of the dark purple shimmer.

Next, use a dome-shaped brush to apply the purple sparkle shimmer eyeshadow. Layer it directly over the other purple shade in the outer corner. Use your fluffy brush to gently blend the colors together through the crease.

Add a Pop of Teal Under the Eye

Bring some of the teal color underneath the eye for an extra pop of color.

Spritz an angled eyeliner brush with setting spray and pick up the teal shimmer eyeshadow. Gently line underneath the eye with the teal shimmer.

Using setting spray with the brush can help the color apply more smoothly while also reducing loose eyeshadow around the eye.

Clean Up Eyeshadow Fallout

If you applied loose setting powder underneath your eyes, sweep it away now along with any eyeshadow fallout.

You can also use a clean Q-tip to remove or soften any extra eyeshadow around the eye.

Add Liquid Glitter Shimmer

Next, apply the liquid glitter shimmer to the inner corner of the eye near the tear duct for a pop of purple sparkle. You can apply it directly or use a flat eyeshadow brush for more precise placement.

Finish the eyeshadow by adding another touch of teal shimmer across the inner and middle lid. Pat the color into place and softly blend where the teal and purple meet.

Finish with Mascara

Apply mascara to finish the eye look. Add a couple of coats if you want more length and definition from your lashes.

Apply the Matte Lip Color

Before applying your lip color, use a makeup wipe to clean your lips and remove any oils, lip balm, or leftover makeup.

Grab your matte liquid lipstick and line your lips first. Then fill them in with a thin, even coat. Give the lip color a couple of minutes to dry completely.

For the best transfer-proof finish, avoid using chapstick, lip balm, or lip gloss underneath or over your matte liquid lipstick. Keep the lip color in its dry matte finish so it stays in place during your routine.
