ROC Rarity Cheer Makeup Tutorial | Silver Glitter Smokey Eye

Get ready for competition season with the ROC Rarity Team Makeup Look! In this step-by-step cheer makeup tutorial, we're creating a silver glitter smokey eye with matte gray and black eyeshadow, sparkling Diamond Dust glitter, defined eyeliner, and long-wear matte liquid lipstick.

We'll also show you how to finish the look with optional magnetic lashes for extra definition. Follow along with the video and these easy-to-follow instructions to recreate the complete ROC Rarity competition makeup look.

Step 1: Prep Your Eyes

Start by applying a thin layer of eyeshadow primer across your eyelid. This helps your eyeshadow adhere and creates a smooth base for the colors.

Next, dust a little loose setting powder underneath your eyes. This optional step helps catch any eyeshadow fallout and makes cleanup much easier when you're finished.

Step 2: Apply Matte Gray Eyeshadow to the Crease

Using a dome-shaped eyeshadow brush, pick up the matte gray eyeshadow and gently press it into the crease of your eye.

Switch to a fluffy blending brush and sweep the color through the crease to soften the edges.

This creates a smooth transition for the darker eyeshadow we'll add next.

Step 3: Create the Black Smokey Outer Corner

Using your dome-shaped eyeshadow brush, pick up the black eyeshadow and press it into the outer corner of your eye, creating a V shape.

Makeup Tip: For a clean, defined outer edge, line up your finger from the outer corner of your eye toward the outer edge of your eyebrow. This helps guide the shape of your smokey eye as you apply the black eyeshadow.

Switch back to your fluffy brush and lightly blend the black eyeshadow into the crease. Keep blending until the colors transition smoothly without harsh lines.

Step 4: Add Silver Shimmer Eyeshadow

Next, use your fingertip to pick up the silver shimmer eyeshadow.

Gently pat the shimmer onto the center of your eyelid, working toward the outer corner.

Repeat with a second layer to brighten the silver shimmer and build the color.

You can also use a foam eyeshadow applicator instead of your fingertip to apply the shimmer across the lid.

Step 5: Apply Diamond Dust Glitter Eyeshadow

Now it's time to add sparkle with Diamond Dust glitter eyeshadow!

This glitter eyeshadow needs a clear primer to help it adhere to the eyelid.

Start by placing a small dot of clear primer onto the back of your hand. Swirl it around with your fingertip, then gently pat a thin layer onto the inner and middle sections of your eyelid.

You can also use a foam eyeshadow applicator to apply the primer.

Next, pick up the Diamond Dust glitter eyeshadow with your fingertip and gently press it over the primer on the inner and middle sections of your eyelid.

Repeat with another layer for extra sparkle.

Glitter Application Tip: Pressing the glitter onto the primer with your fingertip can help build more noticeable sparkle. A foam applicator also works if you prefer not to use your fingers.

Step 6: Clean Up Eyeshadow Fallout

If you applied loose setting powder underneath your eyes, gently sweep it away along with any eyeshadow fallout.

Take a moment to clean up the area underneath your eyes before moving on to eyeliner.

Step 7: Apply Felt-Tip Liquid Eyeliner

Grab your liquid eyeliner felt-tip pen to define the upper lash line.

Start at one corner of your eye and hold the eyeliner pen slightly sideways. Slowly drag the tip along your upper lash line to create a smooth line.

You don't need to draw the entire line in one motion. Try applying the eyeliner in short sections, then connect the sections for a smooth, even finish.

Step 8: Apply Mascara

Finish your eye makeup by applying mascara to your lashes.

Add a couple of coats if you'd like a little extra definition.

Step 9: Apply Matte Liquid Lipstick

Now it's time to complete the look with matte liquid lipstick.

Start by using a makeup wipe to clean your lips and remove any oils, lip balm, or leftover makeup.

Using your matte liquid lipstick applicator, carefully outline your lips first. Then fill them in with a thin, even coat of color.

Allow the lipstick to dry completely for a couple of minutes. If needed, use a clean Q-tip to smooth or clean up the edges.

Transfer-Proof Lip Tip: Avoid applying chapstick, lip balm, or lip gloss underneath or over your matte liquid lipstick. These products can interfere with the dry matte finish and reduce the transfer-resistant properties of the lip color.

Step 10: Apply Magnetic Lashes (Optional)

If you're wearing magnetic lashes, this is the final step to complete your ROC Rarity makeup look.

Start by applying liquid magnetic liner directly over the felt-tip eyeliner you applied earlier.

Apply two coats of magnetic liner, following the product's drying instructions. Make sure the liner extends from the inner eye all the way past the outer corner so the lash magnets have enough liner to attach to.

Next, carefully place your magnetic lashes directly onto the magnetic liner.

Gently press the lashes along the lash line to make sure all the magnets are securely attached.
