Tips for Applying Your PA Starz Competition Makeup

Whether you're on the Elite, Summit, or Prep team, a little preparation can make applying your competition makeup easier.

• Start with clean skin: Make sure your face and eyes are clean before applying makeup.
• Follow your team's tutorial: Each PA Starz team has its own look, so use the video created specifically for your team.
• Blend your eyeshadow: Use a fluffy eyeshadow brush to soften the edges and blend the colors together.
• Build color gradually: Start with a little eyeshadow and add more as needed.
• Allow lip products to dry: It's important when wearing matte liquid lipstick to apply it to clean, dry lips and allow it to set completely.  DO NOT wear chapstick, lip balm or lip gloss underneath or overtop matte liquid lipstick. You want it to stay in the matte, dry finish to keep it in place.
• Practice before competition day: Try your makeup look ahead of time so you feel comfortable recreating it.
