DDCUS Cheer Makeup Tutorial: Gold Shimmer Eyes & Matte Lip

This cheer look is warm, polished, and great for performances, team photos, and competition days. The gold shimmer catches the light, the soft brown blending adds definition, and the matte liquid lipstick gives a clean finish that stays put.

Watch The Tutorial Here:

Getting Started

Begin with a clean, moisturized face. If you prefer, you can finish your base makeup after the eyes.

Step 1: Prep the Eyes

  • Apply a thin layer of eyeshadow primer across the eyelids to help color grip and stay smooth.
  • Dust a light amount of loose setting powder under the eyes to catch fallout for easy cleanup later.

Step 2: Gold Shimmer Base

Use your fingertip or a foam applicator to pick up the gold shimmer shade. Gently pat the shimmer across the eyelid, focusing on smooth, even coverage.

Step 3: Medium Brown Crease Blend

  • With a dome-shaped eyeshadow brush, sweep a medium brown through the crease.
  • Switch to a fluffy brush and blend until the edge looks soft and even.

Step 4: Deepen the Outer Corner

  • Using the dome brush, press a darker brown into the outer corner in a V shape to add depth.
  • Pat a dark brown shimmer on top of that same outer corner area and blend just up to the gold so the transition is smooth.

Step 5: Mascara

Apply mascara to the lashes. Two light coats give nice definition without clumping. If you plan to wear magnetic lashes from Glam Game Beauty, apply them after the mascara is fully dry.

Step 6: Lips

  • Clean lips with a makeup wipe so there are no oils or balm left.
  • Apply a thin coat of matte liquid lipstick. Line first, then fill in. Let it dry fully. Skip gloss or balm on top to keep it transfer-proof for routines and performances.

Final Look

Soft glow, warm tones, and a matte lip that photographs beautifully and stays in place. Ideal for practice, performances, and competition events.
